Goddess Laxmi is recognized as the goddess of wealth and prosperity according to Hindu religion. Goddess Laxmi is one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga or Shakti. Laxmi is praised and devoted by millions of Hindu all around the world to get wealth and prosperity. Goddess Laxmi is also the wife of Lord Vishnu. She descanted on earth in Treta Yug as Sita, wife of Lord Rama and later in Dwapar Yug she descended as Rukmani, wife of Lord Krishna. Goddess Laxmi is praised and devoted more on Diwali along with Lord Ganesh as it is said according to Hindu religion that devotion of Lord Ganesh and Laxmi on Diwali brings new energy, prosperity and wealth to household.

Shri Hanuman Mandir, Sarangpur is a Hindu Temple located in Sarangpur, Gujarat and comes under the Vadtal Gadi of the Swaminarayan Sampraday. It is dedicated to Hanuman in the form of Kastbhanjan. It is the only Swaminarayan temple to have Hanuman as a central deity. In other temples, the central deity is a human form with the shrine of Hanuman along with that of Ganpati at the entrance of the Temple.

Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. She is the consort of the god Vishnu. Also called Mahalakshmi, she is said to bring good luck and is believed to protect her devotees from all kinds of misery and money-related sorrows.Representations of Lakshmi are also found in Jain monuments.

Lakshmi is called Shri or Thirumagal because she is endowed with six auspicious and divine qualities, or Gunas, and also because she is the source of strength even to Vishnu. Sita (Rama's wife), Radha (Krishna's lover) and Rukmini and the other wives of Krishna are considered forms of Lakshmi.

Lakshmi is worshipped daily in Hindu homes and commercial establishments as the goddess of wealth. She also enjoys worship as the consort of Vishnu in many temples. The festivals of Diwali and Kojagiri Purnima are celebrated in her honour.
