Lakshmi - Goddess of Wealth & Beauty!!
Goddess Laxmi is recognized as
the goddess of wealth and prosperity according to Hindu religion. Goddess Laxmi
is one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga or Shakti. Laxmi is praised and
devoted by millions of Hindu all around the world to get wealth and prosperity.
Goddess Laxmi is also the wife of Lord Vishnu. She descanted on earth in Treta
Yug as Sita, wife of Lord Rama and later in Dwapar Yug she descended as
Rukmani, wife of Lord Krishna. Goddess Laxmi is praised and devoted more on
Diwali along with Lord Ganesh as it is said according to Hindu religion that
devotion of Lord Ganesh and Laxmi on Diwali brings new energy, prosperity and
wealth to household.
Goddess Durga - The Mother Goddess & Her Symbolism
Durga is a Sanskrit name which
means invincible or inaccessible. Durga is one of the biggest feminine deities
of Hindu religion. She is resembled as the Shakti which means power, energy and
force. Goddess Durga is appeared as a feminine character with eighteen arms
each arm holding different weapons and riding on tiger. Goddess Durga is a one
such goddess which contains combined power of all the Gods such as trident of
Lord Shiva, discus of Lord Vishnu, thunderbolt of Lord Indra and many others.
Durga is worshipped a lot in West Bengal during Durga Pooja which is celebrated
on the same day of Dasehra. According to Hindu religion, on this day Goddess
Durga killed Mahisasur (a demon) and his whole Army.
Radha Rani - The Supreme Goddess of Vrindavan
Radha the name itself represents
love and affection. Radha is a central name to appear whenever we talk of Lord
Krishna. Radha and Krishna together are represented as true love. Radha was the
first love of Lord Krishna and was his most favorite among all Gopis
(Girlfriends of Krishna). Radha is also called as Radhika, Radha Rani and
Radhika Rani. Though Radha was not married to Lord Krishna but still the story
of true love and affection between both of them is still recognized as the most
inspiring story. Radha and Krishna together represents absolute truth according
to some religion. In Vaishnav and Nimbarika religion, Radha and Krishna are the
major deity of worship.
Laxman is one of the most
important characters of great Indian epic Ramayan. Laxman was the son of
Dasratha, King of Ayodhya. He was the step brother of Lord Rama. Laxman is
recognized as a most angry personality. Laxman was an incarnation of Shesnaag
(Lord Vishnu’s stance). Laxman was an idol brother who obeyed each and every
order of his brother. Laxman accompanied Lord Rama in his 14 years long exile
and fought bravely along his brother to rescue his sister in law, SIta. For his
brotherhood and obedience Lord Rama flourished him as most loving and favorite
bother of all four. Later Lord Rama also proclaimed him as the king of Avadh.
